Bronze was chosen specifically for its capacity to change — to record time on its surface while retaining its structural integrity. The form references the cypress silhouette visible from the garden's east wall, though abstracted to the point where the reference is felt rather than read. The patina, already dark at delivery, is expected to reach deep green by the decade's end. Edition of one.”
