Origin & Inspiration
“The onyx panels were selected in Iran for their amber-and-white translucency, then shipped to the Carrara studio where they were laminated to a structural white marble core. Positioned near a south-facing window, the work glows differently at every hour — a sundial without a shadow. The collector's brief was simply: 'something that changes with the day.'”
Craft notes
Technique
Onyx panels cut to 18 mm and bonded to Carrara marble substrate with epoxy resin. Joins polished flush.
Finish
Wax-polished throughout. Onyx panels backlit by concealed LED strip in the plinth for evening display.
