Origin & Inspiration
“The clay was sourced from a riverbed in Rajasthan — the iron-rich body fires to a deep red-orange that no commercially prepared clay body can replicate. Wheel-thrown at 8 kg of clay, then worked wet with both hands to collapse the symmetry the wheel had imposed. Fired twice: bisque at cone 06, then glaze-fired at cone 10 in a reduction atmosphere to draw the iron to the surface.”

Technique
Wheel-thrown from 8 kg of Rajasthani iron-rich clay. Hand-distorted while wet. Double-fired: cone 06 bisque, cone 10 reduction glaze.
Finish
Ash glaze pooled in concave areas during firing. Exterior: unglazed, raw clay body with natural iron bloom.
